BSAC offers a range of scuba diving and snorkelling training opportunities, from entry level up to Instructor Trainer.
Here’s an overview of your training options including what’s available and where you can access training.
Firstly, in order to train with BSAC, you need to be a member.
Once a member, your training options are plentiful…
Firstly, BSAC members can decide WHAT to learn from an extensive programme.
They are as follows:
- Diver grade courses
- Snorkeller grade courses
- Skill Development Courses (SDCs)
- Instructor Training Scheme (ITS) courses
Want to browse the full programme? View all BSAC training courses.
Then, members can decide WHERE to learn.
The choices on where members can complete BSAC training courses are:
- in a Branch (club) Find a club
- in a BSAC Training Centre (dive shop) Find a centre
- on a scheduled event Find a scheduled training event
- online with eLearning Discover eLearning options
Please note, not all BSAC training courses are available at all of the above.
For example, not all BSAC courses are available on eLearning and clubs don’t offer all courses. Please check the training course you are interested in to find out the options (although you will need to ask clubs directly in terms of what they offer).
Finally, help and training support always on hand
The following resources are available to members to support and supplement BSAC training courses. In addition, the Diving and Training Team is on hand at BSAC HQ (drt@bsac.com) to answer any questions and offer guidance. As are representatives in clubs, training centres and regional teams.
Online support:
- Diver training support - videos, quizzes and blog articles to help students embed learning from the Ocean Diver, Sports Diver and Dive Leader lessons.
