Try Tech is returning to Chepstow this April for a weekend of tasters of CCR and technical diving at the National Diving and Activity Centre.
Now in its third year, this Try Tech event will be held at the Chepstow site on the 25th and 26th April and is open to Sports Divers (or equivalent) and above.
The popular BSAC tech taster weekend will offer divers the chance to try out CCR diving for the first time as well as ‘have a go’ sessions on different rebreather units for those who are already qualified. Units available include APD Inspiration, Divesoft Liberty, VMS Redbare and Poseidon Se7en. There will also be the opportunity for divers to have a taster session on a DPV (scooter) supplied by Dive-X Scooters.
There will be a social night on Saturday at the nearby Huntsman Pub, with talks by members of the BSAC Technical Team.
Event coordinator, Peter Routledge, said Try Tech is an ideal opportunity for those who are ‘CCR-curious’ and is open to both BSAC members and non-members alike (Sports Divers or equivalent and above).
Building on the success of previous Try Tech events at Chepstow, Stoney Cove and Vobster, 2020 Try Tech will offer even more opportunities for BSAC members to have a go at CCR diving or build on their existing technical diving skills.
Places are limited for Try Tech sessions on both Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April so interested members should book their place online to be sure of a place.
Interested non-BSAC members can email the BSAC Diver Resources Team to book or call 0151 350 6203.
