Celebrated wildlife artist Robert E. Fuller joined forces with Scarborough Sub-Aqua Club to take part in a snorkel litter pick for the BBC One Show.
Broadcast on 28 March 2025, the segment of the popular primetime programme showed a group of snorkellers heading out along the Yorkshire coast collecting rubbish strewn around the rocks of inaccessible coves and bays.

Based in the Yorkshire village of Thixendale, Robert E. Fuller is best known for lifelike paintings and films that reveal the individual characters of animals. Robert is also a presenter and filmmaker and his wildlife documentaries regularly feature on TV.

Robert got involved with BSAC after his wife Victoria joined Scarborough Sub Aqua Club during lockdown and, when she heard of the extreme beach cleans, decided to take part.
She returned full of enthusiasm, and, since Robert has spent so much of his time watching seals, puffins, gannets and more along this Yorkshire coastline, he was keen to use his involvement with the BBC One Show as an opportunity to bring this work to a wider audience.

Robert said:
This coastline is home to some spectacular wildlife and it’s so important that it is able to continue to thrive. Projects like [the snorkel litter picking] are amazing. By picking up litter from inaccessible parts of the coast, these teams do an incredible thing for wildlife.
