Capt Ben Vickery RN, Head of Military Diving Capability Cell said:
The Royal Navy is now actively recruiting to fill positions within its Mine Clearance Diving cadre. Previous diving experience, whilst not essential, would nevertheless be useful and our training across air, mixed gas and surface supplied diving life support equipment would build on any experience you already have. A career as a Royal Navy Clearance Diver is exciting, varied and well rewarded with the opportunity to dive all over the world alongside our partner Navies. It is also great fun and you will make lifelong friendships!
You would join a relatively small branch of extremely motivated and operationally relevant men and women who deliver in the most challenging of circumstances across the pillars of Maritime Counter Terrorism, Support to Submarines and Submarine Rescue, Mine counter measures and Force protection to High value units (Aircraft Carriers) amongst others.
You can learn more, including how to apply, on the Royal Navy website.
