A boatful of Father Christmases will switch on lights and connect ho-ho-hoses before taking part in a charity fun dive next month for the RNLI.
The annual Charity Christmas Santa Dive returns on Sunday 15 December, organised by Jurassic Aqua Sports.
This will be the fourth year for the fun day out which, in conjunction with Jurassic’s Easter Bunny Dive, has so far raised more than £4,500 for the lifeboats - a fabulous cause that provides emergency cover for divers at sea.
Jurassic Aqua Sports, a BSAC Centre located in Weymouth, runs popular hard boat ‘Waverider’.
From this great platform the Santa event will be a two-dive trip, taking in the stunning dive site of Pulpit Rock. Located at the southwestern tip of Portland Bill, this is a fantastic dive site with an abundance of marina life, due to the fast free-flowing currents that run past this point most of the day.
Attendees will also get to do a second dive. Maximum depth on the trip will be 35m.
David Collins, Centre Director at Jurassic Aqua Sports said:
This will be a very festive day to get you right into the Christmas spirit. We will be serving our legendary hot pasties, along with mince pies, hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream.
Santa costumes are a must!
