Hero Red Sea liveaboard: what BSAC members say

The first BSAC members to explore the Red Sea with BSAC Egypt's Hero liveaboard have called it 'a life changing experience' with 'superb instruction' and described a 'very happy atmosphere' on board.

Those who have stayed on the luxury M/Y Hero during 2023 have been very complimentary about the vessel and crew, the guide and instructor staff, and high level of service provided. Now a qualified Sports Diver, Tallulah said:

With the vessel increasingly in demand, BSAC Egypt has scheduled new dates and itineraries allowing clubs, groups or individual members to book our luxury Red Sea liveaboard at a great rate:

• 27th Jan-3rd Feb 2024 Hurghada. North wrecks and reefs
• 30th Mar-6th Apr 2024 Hurghada. North wrecks and reefs
• 8th-15th Jun 2024 Hurghada. North wrecks and reefs
• 30th Nov-6th Dec 2024 Hurghada. Deep South

Other dates are available for club bookings on request. 

Prices and terms

The cost per person is £890 for a space, which includes nitrox, transfers, and beer and wine. A visa and tip are extra. Full equipment hire for a week is £100, and customers must arrange their own flights to Hurghada. Clubs can book all 24 spaces or any number they require. 

BSAC training can be included as part of the week by our UK instructors who accompany the trip.

Customers have the option to purchase through a travel agent for an inclusive package with flights with ABTA/ATOL bonds. This option adds 20% to the package prices.

About Hero

M/Y Hero is a luxury steel-hulled vessel built in 2018. The 12 spacious cabins can accommodate up to 24 guests: two cabins with double beds and the remaining cabins have twin beds. They are all equipped with air conditioning, fridge, and private bathroom with shower and toilet.
