BSAC’S Try Tech is coming to Chepstow, with the event expanded to four days over the late May Bank Holiday weekend.
Following the success of Try Techs at Stoney Cove and Vobster last year, Try Tech will be held on 25th to 28th May at NDAC (the National Diving and Activity Centre) in Chepstow. The event is open to BSAC members and non-members, see booking information below.

Have a go at Technical diving
Try Tech events are ideal for divers thinking of moving over to CCR or rebreather divers looking to have a go on another unit. Rebreather unit brands available for you to try on instructor-led open water dives include; AP Diving, Poseidon, Liberty and Red Bare.

BSAC members £60 Inc BBQ and talk* (£25 to have a go on a second unit)
Non-BSAC members £70* (£35 to have a go on a second unit)

Technical courses available over the Try Tech weekend
The Chepstow event is expected to be a sell-out. The expanded timetable also includes Combined Skill Development Courses run by the Try Tech team (Friday 25th to Monday 28th May);
Combined Twinset Diver and Accelerated Decompression Procedures (ADP) - Book your place
Diver grade needed: Sports Diver (or equivalent with a Nitrox qualification).
Prices - BSAC members: £210, Non-BSAC members: £220.
Combined Sports and Explorer Mixed Gas Open Circuit - Book your place
Diver grade needed: Accelerated Decompression Procedures (ADP) or equivalent.
Prices - BSAC members: £400, Non-BSAC members: £410.
Combined Sports and Explorer Mixed Gas Closed Circuit - Book your place
Diver grade needed: CCR air diluent qualification or equivalent.
Prices - BSAC members: £350, Non-BSAC members: £360.
Also planned are evening talks by BSAC’s Technical Team and a Saturday / Sunday night BBQ.
