BSAC's popular Instructor Trainer Development Course (ITDC) is the key foundation step to teaching on the Instructor Training Scheme.
Volunteering as an Instructor Trainer is immensely rewarding, and getting involved in regional training can help members to bring on the next generation of BSAC instructors, from assistant instructors and above.
What is the ITDC for?
The ITDC introduces the elements needed to successfully teach BSAC instructor courses. It is designed to develop your skills to enable you to observe and to be inducted to teach on events leading to Open Water Instructor, the IFC, OWIC and PIE/TIE.
New! One-day ITDC
Although normally held over two days, BSAC is currently piloting a one-day ITDC with 4 to 5 hours eLearning before the event.
Places for these two events are now available, open to Advanced Instructors. The ITDC costs just £40!
- ITDC Solihull 9 November 2024 (16 places)
- ITDC Dartmouth 7 December 2024 (24 places)
