Sub-C-Divers was founded in November 1980 at Howe Bridge Leisure Centre, Atherton, becoming the 1206th branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC).
Over the years hundreds of people, from all walks of life; with varying skill levels; have been taught to dive by Sub-C-Divers and more than that, have enjoyed being members of a fantastic social club, for family and friends too.
Throughout the years, members have come and gone but the branch is as strong as ever with current membership levels standing at around 80. These are a mixed group from new members of a few weeks to a member who has been with us for 37 years!
There is still a buzz about the place even after all this time. Why not have a try dive and start an adventure that could last for your lifetime? Ask anyone who dives, and they will tell you it’s well worth the journey.
