Address | Scarborough sub Aqua Club, 25 St. Marys Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 1QW, United Kingdom |
Our club has been diving out of Scarborough since 1960 and has found and identified countless wrecks. Our clubhouse is rich in maritime history with artefacts recovered by members being out on permanent display including bells, steering wheels, a hard hat divers helmet and a cannon! Whilst our attitudes have now shifted towards conservation, the artefacts are still visited by relatives of those who served on the ships. Our bar area, lecture room and compressor house provide an ideal hub for training to take place and dive trip organisation. With a hard boat permanently moored in Scarborough harbour and a RIB based near Bridlington, there is never a shortage of opportunities to go diving on a local basis. Outside of summer we regularly organise several weekend-away trips a year plus a minimum of 1 week-long trip either in the UK or abroad. We regularly visit varying parts of Scotland.
We meet in our clubhouse every Wednesday of the year and share diving and training plans over a drink in our licenced bar, not to mention an active social calendar, particularly outside of the diving season.
