Our club, the BSAC Salford Sub Aqua Club 0253, was set up from a club created by the old Granada TV Company based in
Manchester The club was a major mover during the 1970/80’s with over 60 members, several Club boats, arranged trips all
over UK with founding members from Norfed, Underwater photography & one the first to sign for a marine reserve in St
Abb’s.
Loyal membership has enabled the club to survive but now with very small numbers.
We now share the pool with Dive Manchester who provide snorkel, taster lessons as well as full training for all age ranges.
Monday night we have half a pool at the leisure centre which has a deep section perfect for diver training. We also share dive
trips & is a perfect partnership.
Opportunity to catch up for a drink after the pool is held at a quiet pub nearby.
