Our branch was formed in 2022 following repeated request from many divers to establish a diving branch that activley encourages/includes all individuals of the branch to take part in all diving (and non-diving) activities offered.
We are a very family focused branch, that is made up of both diving and non-diving members. We have 10 active diving members and 12+ non-diving members due to our very active social calendar. We have an annual BBQ, Christmas meal, AGM meal, along with other social activities.
We dive every other weekend (usually Saturday) throughout spring, summer and autumn and once a month through the winter months.
We try to alternate dives between freshwater and saltwater dives. We have at least one underwater cleanup operation every year, to do our bit for the environment and try to encourage other to do the same.
We have members with disabilities and actively encourage Diving for All. We are fortunate to have a branch member that teaches first aid, CPR, AED and BLS in his professional life and is happy to pass this on to our members at a greatly reduced cost.
