Referral training
A BSAC centre can part-train a customer by delivering individual elements of the training and recording what has been completed in the customer’s Qualification Record Book (QRB).
When the part-trained diver presents their QRB at any BSAC centre or BSAC club, the proprietor (or Diving Officer of a club) must recognise this as evidence of training and able to complete the training.
Often a diver may do classroom and pool/sheltered water training in a centre or club in the UK and wish to complete open water dives in warmer waters.
It is the responsibility of the centre or club providing the initial training to supply the customer with the appropriate Training Pack.
The customer must present their part-completed Qualification Record Book to the centre for inspection and the customer must also prove that they have the Student Notes and Qualification Page.
To receive instruction, the customer must also prove that they are a current member of BSAC.
